A Letter From The Director
Dear Head Start of Northeastern Nevada Families and Elko Community,
My name is Cheri Moring, and I am the Executive Director of Head Start of Northeastern Nevada (HSNN). I have worked for HSNN for the last forteen years, and overall I have over twenty years of experience in early childhood education. I hold a bachelors degree in early childhood education with a concentration in STEAM. I am also currently pursuing my Masters degree in early childhood leadership, business and administration. I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful organization. I vow to continue to uphold the values and mission of HSNN and look forward to serving staff, children, families, and my community! HSNN offers the highest quality care for children that includes health, safety, education, nutrition, disability, and family services. HSNN is child-focused and has the overall goal of increasing school readiness. We believe in partnering with parents to ensure that all needs of child(ren), as well as all members of the family, are met. We embrace the “whole child, whole family” philosophy in all aspects of our program. At Head Start of Northeastern Nevada, I believe that excellence is the only option, and our children and families we serve deserve nothing less.
